Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Data Engineer with deep expertise in AWS Cloud Development to lead the development of new data products and modernization of existing platforms.

This individual will design, build, and optimize large-scale data pipelines and architectures in both on-premises environments (e.g., Oracle) and cloud environments (especially AWS).

The ideal candidate will serve as a Cloud Development expert, mentoring and guiding other data engineers as they enhance their cloud skillsets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines and data products.
  • Develop and optimize ELT/ETL processes using various tools and technologies.
  • Support and evolve data models that drive operational and analytical workloads.
  • Migrate legacy systems to cloud-native platforms.

Cloud Development & DevOps (AWS-Focused):

  • Build, deploy, and manage cloud-native data solutions using AWS services.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance of AWS-based data platforms.

Collaboration and Teamwork:

  • Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Contribute to the data platform modernization roadmap and support new product delivery.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent technical role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Development & DevOps experience.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep experience with Oracle (PL/SQL, performance tuning, data extraction).
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (networking, security, cost optimization).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with modern orchestration frameworks.
  • Exposure to data cataloging, governance, and quality tools.
