Our organization is seeking an experienced Network Security Specialist to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Network Monitoring & Reporting:

Monitor and report on ISP, DC, DR, MPLS, P2P link performance (hourly/daily) as part of our proactive approach to maintaining a secure network infrastructure. In addition, prepare and maintain network device inventory ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Firewall & Security Operations:
  • Manage firewall access (DC, DR, MPLS, Cloud)
  • Implement IP whitelisting, block malware IPs as per SOC guidelines to safeguard against cyber threats.
  • Review and optimize firewall rule bases regularly to ensure maximum security without compromising network functionality.
  • Monitor NIPS/IPS logs and deploy security signatures in real-time to address emerging threats.

Device Configuration & Backup:

  • Take and restore backups of DC, DR, HO, NDR network devices to prevent data loss in the event of equipment failure or human error.
  • Modify VLAN configurations on L2 switches for efficient network segmentation.
  • Reset network device passwords as needed to maintain robust password policies.

Access & User Management:

  • Disable Domain ID and VPN access for users when necessary to enforce access control policies.
  • Perform admin access reviews and reporting to identify potential security risks.

Load Balancer Operations:

  • Backup and configure load balancer rules to ensure seamless traffic distribution across multiple servers.
  • Create new application rules as required to support evolving business needs.

Incident & Change Management:

  • Handle Level 1 incidents via email or phone according to established incident response procedures.
  • Prepare and implement RFCs to document and track changes to the network infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with OEMs for troubleshooting complex issues requiring specialized expertise.

Cloud & Virtualization Awareness:

  • Familiarity with AWS and Azure firewalls/security features to ensure compatibility with existing cloud-based services.
  • Understanding of ACI/AVS switch installation to integrate with current infrastructure.
