Assistant Director Job Description

As Assistant Director, you will oversee the shoot process under the guidance of the Head of Department. This role involves managing studio and offsite operations, directing videographers on multi-camera setups, lighting, set design, and actor preparation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Production Coordination:
    • Manage pre-production logistics to ensure a smooth workflow.
    • Organize and coordinate all pre-production tasks, including content sorting and preparation.
  • Production Management:
    • Oversee and organize studio operations, including lighting, set design, and actor preparation under the guidance of the Head of Department.
    • Manage multi-camera filming to ensure high-quality footage and smooth transitions.
    • Guide cameramen during shoots to ensure sound, lighting, and focus are properly controlled according to the direction of the Head of Department.
    • Maintain studio equipment and ensure it is in good working condition and ready for use.
    • Evaluate and address all aspects and requests for the shoot, adhering to the direction of the Head of Department.
  • Footage Management:
    • Ensure proper storage and handling of recorded content.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in production coordination and assistant directing.
    • Familiarity with multi-camera setups and production equipment.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent organizational skills for managing pre-production and studio operations.
    • Strong communication and coordination skills for working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
    • Able to handle multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic production environment.
  • Technical Knowledge:
    • Understanding of lighting, set design, cameras, and post-production processes.

Working Conditions:

6 working days per week, with Sunday off.
