Job Opportunity: Postgres SQL Developer

Job Overview:
  • Data Management Expertise: We seek an experienced professional with a strong background in designing and implementing complex data systems using Cloud Native principles.
  • Database Architecture Planning and Deployment: Develop and deploy database infrastructure to ensure highly available, secure, performant, and scalable systems.
  • Aurora PostgreSQL Mastery: Proven expertise in Aurora PostgreSQL database performance & scalability, complex query tuning, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Infrastructure Development and Replication Management: Collaborate on infrastructure changes to AWS services and manage complex data replication environments for batch and real-time use cases.
  • On-call Responsibilities and Engagement: Engage in on-call rotations for production systems, respond to incoming alerts, contribute to major system upgrades, and implement monitoring enhancements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of hands-on experience with Postgres (AWS Aurora Postgres).
  • Skill Requirements: Experience with AWS Data Migration Service, extensive performance monitoring, troubleshooting & tuning experience, knowledge of AWS services, and hands-on experience with cloud hosting. Additional skills include proficiency in Java/Python/Shell programming languages for DevOps automation, Docker & Kubernetes, Splunk, Wavefront is a plus.
