Job Title: Laboratory Professional

 

We are seeking skilled and detail-oriented individuals to fill the role of a Laboratory Technician. This position will support teaching, research, and practical training in various departments, including Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Agriculture, and Computer Applications.

 

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or Diploma in a relevant discipline and prior experience in laboratory work. They should possess strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, as well as basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and materials for practical classes and research activities.
  • Assist faculty and students during laboratory experiments, demonstrations, and projects.
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, storage, and disposal of chemicals, biological samples, reagents, and other materials.
  • Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain laboratory instruments and software applications.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, experiments, and laboratory usage.
  • Implement laboratory safety protocols and ensure compliance with institutional guidelines.
  • Provide technical support for departmental research projects and student dissertations.
