About the Opportunity

Cadence Design Systems is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to join its high-performing team. This role offers opportunities for professional growth and collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • The successful candidate will play a crucial role in Cadence's Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 ongoing monitoring program, conducting tests of key controls across various business processes and reporting results.
  • This individual will independently conduct process walkthroughs, test the design and operating effectiveness of key controls, and create documentation as per defined methodology.
  • Conducting internal audits, performing process risk assessments, site audits, and data analytics to ensure global Cadence processes and entities meet required standards.
  • Maintaining efficient execution of internal audits, adhering to professional and departmental standards, budgets, and timelines.
  • Presenting audit objectives, scope, and results to senior management, clearly articulating potential control gaps and their impact.
  • Partnering with process owners to conduct audit/test procedures, discuss findings, and re-engineer business processes for efficiency improvements.
  • Maintaining workpapers for all projects according to defined standards, requiring critical thinking and thorough documentation skills.
  • Conducting data analytics on large datasets, understanding underlying data, and developing analytic control tests to analyze results.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in Internal Audit, SOX testing, risk management from industry or a consulting firm (preferably Big 4).
  • A good understanding of accounting rules and control objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, and IT systems (SAP).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Chartered Accountant and/or Certified Internal Auditor certifications.
