Network Engineer Position

Position: Network Engineer L1 at NOC

We have 20 positions available for this role.

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Postgraduate / Graduate / Diploma qualification
  • Mandatory certification such as CCNA / JNCIA / CCNP Routing and Switching / Security or OEM valid intermediate-level SD-WAN certification

A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required in handling network operations.

Key Responsibilities:

a) Monitoring and reporting alerts from network devices

b) Working on raised and assigned tickets/alerts from the ITSM tool:

  • Identifying the fault
  • Assigning severity
  • Following troubleshooting procedures
  • Ensuring timely closure of alerts/tickets

c) Handling fault management with service providers for network-related issues:

  • Initiating trouble tickets
  • FOLLOWING up until resolution
  • Escalating if required

d) Coordinating with L2 engineers for issue resolution and change management

e) Performing network-related changes on network devices as per role and accessibility defined in SOP

f) Preparing and maintaining network-related reports such as branch down call report and bandwidth utilization report

Additional Responsibilities:

g) Monitoring and managing the Bank's network infrastructure (devices, links, etc.)

h) Providing escalation support for L1 (Zonal Engineers); escalating issues to L2/L3 engineers if not resolved

i) Receiving calls from branches, raising tickets (if not already available in the system), and sharing the ticket number

j) Adding new network devices into the network and ensuring they are recorded in the asset management system

k) Following up with engineers at Zonal Offices/Field teams to restore network uptime (links and devices)
