Cloud Data Specialist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled data specialist with expertise in cloud development, particularly AWS. This role is pivotal for developing new data products and modernizing existing platforms.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience designing, building, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and architectures in on-premises and cloud environments.

  • Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and products.
  • Develop and optimize ELT/ETL processes using various tools and technologies.
  • Support and evolve data models driving operational and analytical workloads.
  • Modernize legacy systems and migrate workloads to cloud-native platforms.
ResponsibilitiesData Engineering & Architecture
  • Build and manage cloud-native data solutions using AWS services.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, cost, and security.
  • Ensure scalability, resilience, and compliance of AWS-based data platforms.
Cloud Development & DevOps (AWS-Focused)
  • Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
  • Contribute to the data platform modernization roadmap and support new product delivery.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering or equivalent technical role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on AWS Cloud Development & DevOps experience.
  • Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Deep experience with Oracle (PL/SQL, performance tuning, data extraction).
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing tasks.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (networking, security, cost optimization).
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Snowflake.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools.
  • Experience with modern orchestration frameworks.
  • Exposure to data cataloging, governance, and quality tools.
