About this Role:

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Operations Manager to lead finance and accounting operations for our fast-growing direct-to-consumer brand.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling end-to-end accounting for consumer brands, especially in high-growth environments.

This role will be critical in managing day-to-day finance operations, ensuring compliance, optimizing costs, and providing financial insights to support strategic decisions.

  • Oversee all accounting functions including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations, payroll, and inventory accounting.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closing of books.
  • Maintain clean and compliant financial records in line with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities also include:

  • Managing accounting for online sales platforms (Shopify, Amazon, etc.), including reconciliation of payouts, returns, and commissions.
  • Tracking customer refunds, chargebacks, and promotions across multiple channels.
  • Monitoring logistics costs, warehousing expenses, and fulfillment-related accounting.

Additionally, the successful candidate will:

  • Oversee statutory compliance, including tax filings.
  • Work with external auditors and government bodies for audits and inspections.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting. CA preferred but not mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a D2C or e-commerce environment.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho Books, QuickBooks).
  • Solid understanding of marketplace accounting and Shopify integrations.
