  • Legacy System Enhancement: Debug and enhance legacy systems with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability, improving overall system efficiency.
  • Coding Best Practices: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code following best practices, adhering to software design principles.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure code quality, guaranteeing reliable and efficient application functionality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams, contributing to technical documentation and facilitating seamless communication within the organization.
  • Database Design and Optimization: Design and optimize PostgreSQL databases with a focus on performance and data integrity, ensuring optimal database operations.
  • Cloud Infrastructure and Deployment: Utilize AWS services and Kubernetes (K8s) for deployment, monitoring, and infrastructure management, ensuring smooth application deployment and scalability.
Required Qualifications:
  • Professional Experience: 9+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Ruby on Rails.
  • Debugging and Legacy System Skills: Strong debugging skills and experience working with and modernizing legacy systems, ensuring efficient system enhancement.
  • Database Proficiency: Proficiency in PostgreSQL and relational database design, ensuring optimal database operations.
  • Cloud and Kubernetes Experience: Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and Kubernetes, ensuring seamless deployment and scalability.
  • Test-Driven Development: Proven ability to write high-quality unit and integration tests, ensuring reliable and efficient application functionality.
