We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated accounting professional to fill the role of Australian Accounting Associate.
About the Role:This position involves preparing and filing tax returns for individual and business clients in compliance with Australian taxation laws, as well as maintaining accurate records of financial transactions for clients. Additionally, you will assist in preparing financial statements and reports for clients, and help with GST and BAS preparation and lodgement.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare and file tax returns for individual and business clients in compliance with Australian taxation laws.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions for clients, including bookkeeping and reconciliation tasks.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and reports for clients.
- Help in GST and BAS preparation and lodgement.
- Ensure compliance with all Australian tax regulations and deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- Knowledge of Australian tax systems and bookkeeping practices.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Internship or prior experience in Australian taxation or bookkeeping.
- Understanding of BAS and GST reporting requirements.
