Network Engineer - WAN Support

We seek a seasoned network professional to fill this key role. The ideal candidate will have robust troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with BGP, along with a proven background in WAN operations from a Telecom or ISP environment.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and support WAN networks across multiple global sites within a 24/7 rotational shift model.
  • Handle Level 2 escalations and troubleshoot incidents related to routing, switching, and WAN link issues.
  • Configure and maintain BGP routing and manage changes, updates, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with telecom vendors and ISPs for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Maintain documentation for shift handovers, ticket logs, and RCA reports.
  • Promote high network uptime and adherence to Service Level Agreement targets.
Desirable Skills:
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Experience with MPLS, OSPF, QoS.
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
  • Able to create and update network diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures.

This role demands the ability to work in rotational shifts, including night hours, and interact with clients at various levels during the selection process.
