About the Role

The Multi Site WHS Officer is a key member of our team, responsible for partnering with site operations teams to execute company safety policies and ensure compliance with all applicable local and regional regulations. Leveraging lean principles and kaizens, this individual will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce conditional and ergonomic risk in our processes.

This role requires an effective communicator who can build trust and confidence with the Operations Team, influence change through comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis, and instruct and train Operations Leaders in company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a safety team consisting of Safety Specialists, Safety Coordinators, and Onsite first aid Associates
  • Create and execute leadership development plans for safety team members
  • Communicate safety team expectations and provide frequent and appropriate feedback
  • Ensure execution to the core competencies of an Amazon safety professional

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years' experience in Environment, Health & Safety or ME in Industrial Safety Engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field required
  • Experience managing multiple direct reports
  • Must be flexible regarding shifts

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supply chain, Construction or Manufacturing Safety experience with a mix of exempt and non-exempt employees at a site of at least 200 people
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Government Certified Safety Professional preferred
