Job Title: Cloud Architecture Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure on the Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop AWS architectures: Develop robust and efficient cloud architecture designs that meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective cloud solutions.
  • Implement monitoring systems: Design and implement monitoring systems to ensure AWS environments are running smoothly.
  • Ensure security compliance: Collaborate with security teams to ensure AWS environments comply with industry regulations and internal security policies.
  • Optimize costs: Develop strategies to optimize AWS costs without compromising performance or security.
  • Resolve system failures: Respond to systems alerts, investigate and resolve related system failures, and recover/restored failed systems and applications.
  • Mentor team members: Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and training programs for team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7-9 years of experience: Proven experience in Information Technology with a strong understanding of cloud computing.
  • AWS implementation: Strong experience implementing access control using IAM and designing scalable, secure, and highly available AWS architectures.
  • IaC tools: Experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible Tower, and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Security practices: Experience monitoring/maintaining secure networking practices within the AWS infrastructure and multi-region disaster recovery solutions using AWS services.
  • Operating systems: Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
  • Communication skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to all levels of the organization.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • AWS certifications: AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification is desired.
  • Scripting capability: Scripting capability and ability to develop scripted AWS infrastructure.
