Job Opportunity: Medical Copy Editor

We are seeking a skilled Medical Copy Editor to maintain editorial quality control of agency deliverables during all stages of production.

  • Maintain high-quality written content across various formats, including promotional and educational materials for physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients.
  • Collaborate with Account Services, Copywriters, Art Directors, and other team members to ensure that print and digital materials meet the highest standards in terms of accuracy, utility, clarity, readability, and appeal.
  • Work closely with internal teams on timing of quality control of projects, including copyediting, styling, fact-checking, proofreading.
  • Support writers on content and referencing, as well as work with the account team on content and scheduling.
  • Assist copywriters and account team with research and article retrieval.
  • Create and maintain a brand style guide to ensure consistency across all materials.

This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in medical copyediting, preferably in a pharmaceutical advertising agency or medical publishing company.

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in copyediting, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • A working knowledge of the AMA Manual of Style, 11th edition.
  • A desire to work with diverse teams, projects, and clients.
  • A love for learning, teaching, and mentoring.
  • The ability to adapt easily to different processes and cultures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Curiosity and interest in medical topics.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
