Job Description:

This position is responsible for preparing a variety of pastry and dessert menu items according to provided recipes and photos. The successful candidate will possess excellent knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and shipboard operations to ensure seamless guest and crew member interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing the various pastry and dessert menu items according to the provided recipes and photos.
  • Managing some of the pastry and dessert production, setting up displays on buffets as needed, and assisting with food transportation from main stores to the pastry galley.
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the working area and utensils, and being assigned occasional early standby duties in the pastry galley for USPH purposes.
Qualifications and Education:
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
  • Degree in culinary arts or equivalent education required, with high school completion or basic education equivalency accepted.
