Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the design strategy and user experience of our platform, acting as the voice of the user. They will create and validate wireframes, prototypes, and design systems that bring simplicity, trust, and impact to farmer-centric digital experiences.

They will conduct user research, usability testing, and collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver intuitive, accessible, and delightful interfaces that drive adoption, retention, and farmer empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Own design strategy and quarterly UX roadmap aligned to business goals.
  • Translate product requirements into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma and Miro.
  • Define and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and style guides to ensure visual and functional consistency.
  • Partner with product owners to convert epics and user stories into design deliverables with clear acceptance criteria.
  • Conduct end-to-end user research: interviews, field visits, surveys, and usability testing with farmers, FPOs, and partners.
  • Translate feedback into actionable design improvements, balancing usability, accessibility, and technical feasibility.
  • Champion UX for rural contexts: vernacular flows, low-bandwidth/offline-first design, accessibility, and culturally relevant trust cues.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 5–8 years in UI/UX design, with at least 3 years designing for mobile-first products at scale.
  • Proven experience shipping rural customer-facing or mass-market apps with measurable adoption and engagement impact.
  • Hands-on experience conducting field research and usability testing with diverse user groups.
