The Role
  • Design and implement custom WordPress solutions, leveraging advanced Gutenberg blocks, hooks, and APIs.
  • Optimize code execution and database queries through rigorous profiling and debugging.
  • Integrate REST APIs and microservices to enhance scalability and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with front-end integrators to build cohesive backend architectures.
  • Develop expertise in Docker/Podman environments, utilizing WP-CLI and Linux commands to streamline container operations.
Required Skills
  • Deep proficiency in PHP, WordPress ecosystem, and relevant frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of SQL and query optimization techniques.
  • Experience with React and microservice integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Docker/Podman workflows and Linux environments.
  • Ability to measure and optimize code execution, prioritizing application performance.
  • MacOS or Linux development environment required.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (ES6).
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with designers and front-end developers.
  • Awareness of accessibility and Core Web Vitals best practices.
