Senior Azure Data Governance Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Azure Data Governance Specialist to lead our organization's data governance initiatives. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing Azure Purview solutions to establish comprehensive data governance frameworks and practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and configure Azure Purview to establish robust data governance frameworks and practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Configure and optimize data discovery, classification, and lineage tracking processes within Azure Purview.
  • Develop and implement data quality management strategies to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of our data assets.
  • Collaborate with data engineering and architecture teams to integrate Azure Purview with existing data platforms and tools.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices, with experience implementing data governance frameworks in enterprise environments. You should also possess deep expertise in Azure Purview, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of driving successful data governance initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Azure Purview certification (e.g., DP-203: Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure)
  • Experience with other Azure services, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Database.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools and platforms, such as Collibra, Informatica Axon, Alation, or Erwin Data Intelligence Suite.
