Job Description

This position performs system integrations across desktop, on and off-prem cloud server, and AVD technology platforms. The successful candidate will participate in the development of packaging solutions for desktop and server platforms as well as conversion of legacy applications and utilities through the use of Numecent, MSIX, PSApp Deploy, Ansible, and containerization. They will contribute to the design of modern packaging; conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and postimplementation support, and maintenance. The candidate will work on basic to complex applications, develop and execute test plans prior to software deployment and maintain documentation of all customizations and changes made during the packaging process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Participate in the development of packaging solutions for desktop and server platforms.
• Contribute to the design of modern packaging.
• Conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and postimplementation support, and maintenance.
• Develop and execute test plans prior to software deployment.
• Maintain documentation of all customizations and changes made during the packaging process.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 7+ years of software packaging, application development, and deployment within a physical and virtual environment.
• Experience in integrating of the application packaging and delivery solution with the user self-service portal, automation tools, enterprise software deployment tools, software licensing tools, data export compliance, remote AVD, and remote hosted applications.
• Strong technical skills and hands-on expertise .NET, .BAT, .VBS, WSE, .MSI, .MST, .MSP, SQL Server, APPV, MSIX, Numecent and similar scripting and database tools.
• Experience with automation scripts, orchestration, and automation processes and products.
• Deep understanding of implementing and supporting application virtualization, streaming, layering and paging technologies on AVD environments, desktop, servers on-prem and in the cloud, and mobile devices.
• Provides engineering, deployment, and transition to a broad range of current and future Microsoft applications and technologies or similar third-party tools that integrate Microsoft products (e.g. Intune and Ansible).
• Expert in application packaging and deploying through Intune Management, application model, and containers.
• In-depth experience of Microsoft Operating Systems (desktop and server).
• Strong experience in the Windows Registry (32/64bit architecture) manipulation required.
• Windows troubleshooting skills. This position will often act as the highest level of problem escalation required. Ability to communicate escalations when needed.
• Experience with process and infrastructure compliance including ITIL and IRM.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Developed scripts in PowerShell, Ansible, DSC, Python, or YAML.
• Familiar with tools or automate scripts/processes.
• Experience with idempotent to configuration manager, policy, and deployment.
• Project coordination experience; knows how to manage change, identifying risks, design documents; manage or lead technical projects and track task.
• Knowledge UWP - MSIX packaging development and deployment.
• Skillful in SAFe Agile framework.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline.
• Azure Certificates.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
