Automotive Technician

Job Summary

Tulsa County is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. As a key member of our garage team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
• Diagnose and repair complex vehicle problems, including electrical and mechanical issues
• Use automotive repair equipment, including lifts, diagnostic tools, and power tools
• Read and interpret repair manuals, technical specifications, and diagnostic codes
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and supervisors to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in automotive repair or a related field preferred
• At least 3 months of experience in an automotive technician/mechanic position
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles. The noise level is usually loud.
