Job Description

As a seasoned Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting project that involves integrating and processing channel activity data from multiple sources. This includes leveraging cloud technologies, particularly AWS, to design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for processing channel activity data.

The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of AWS, Python, and experience in handling data from various sources such as Hadoop and Terradata. You will be working on large-scale data engineering solutions for data, and knowledge of data processing architecture is highly desirable.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data from various digital channels is effectively ingested and processed. Additionally, you will contribute to architecture decisions related to data lakes, data warehouses, and big data ecosystems.

  • Design and Build Robust Data Pipelines: Focus on integrating multiple sources of data, including Hadoop and Terradata, and leverage AWS services like Pyspark, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, and others.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and stakeholders to ensure effective data ingestion and processing.
  • Contribute to Architecture Decisions: Participate in making key decisions related to data lakes, data warehouses, and big data ecosystems.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Data Engineering: Proven experience working as a Data Engineer in greenfield environments.

  • AWS Experience: Strong hands-on experience with AWS technologies such as Pyspark, Glue, EMR, Lambda, Redshift, Athena, EC2, and S3.
  • Python Proficiency: Ability to write efficient code using Python for data processing, automation, and pipeline development.
  • Big Data Platforms: Experience with big data technologies like Hadoop and Terradata.
  • Strong Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data from different digital channels.
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for documentation and collaboration.
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex data-related challenges.
Desirable Qualifications

Certifications or experience in AWS Cloud or relevant data engineering tools would be beneficial.

  • Relevant Certifications: Possess certifications or experience in AWS Cloud or relevant data engineering tools.
  • Experience in Working on Snowflake: Good to have experience in working on snowflake.
  • Knowledge of Real-Time Data Ingestion: Knowledge of ingesting real-time data (Apache Kafka) would be an advantage.
