Assistant Manager

This position is a crucial part of our team, responsible for leading the design and development of complex sheet metal components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of CAD software, especially SolidWorks, and proven expertise in creating detailed engineering documentation while adhering to industry standards.
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Assistant Manager in Design Department with a strong background in SolidWorks and sheet metal design. This role involves overseeing the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies from concept to production, utilizing SolidWorks. The successful candidate will generate comprehensive 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) that comply with industry standards and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the design and development of sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Generate comprehensive 3D models, 2D drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior design engineers and production personnel.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in design processes and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sheet metal design and fabrication.
- Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks, particularly in the sheet metal module.
- In-depth understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes and material properties.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master&aposs/ Bachelor&aposs degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
- Proven track record of successfully leading design projects and product launches.
