Job Summary

This is a key strategic and technical leadership position within the engineering team. The role will play an instrumental part in shaping and advancing the organization's DevOps culture and capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Focus:
  • Create and execute a comprehensive DevOps strategy for application development, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational standards.
  • Design, implement, and optimize end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for multiple application teams, ensuring fast, reliable, and secure delivery of software releases.
  • Lead the automation of manual tasks throughout the application lifecycle, including testing, deployment, infrastructure provisioning, and monitoring.
  • Operational Management:
  • Develop robust CI/CD pipelines to enable high-velocity application delivery.
  • Utilize experience working on CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub, TeamCity, Octopus, Maven, NuGet, ProGet or similar to create or update build packages and deployment pipeline.
  • Develop/update the code build using scripting skills in language like Maven, YAML Classical Editor.
  • People Leadership:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to gather and analyse requirements for developing effective IT solutions.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks and promote effective use of technology for problem-solving.
  • Lead and inspire the team to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 13 years of experience in the IT industry, with at least 8 years of experience in DevOps.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are highly desirable.
  • Experience with DevOps toolchains (Jenkins, Git, Azure DevOps, SVN, Maven, NuGet, ProGet, TeamCity, Octopus), scripting (YAML, Python, PowerShell), and application development frameworks.
