Role Overview: General Manager – Accounts and Finance

This role requires an experienced financial leader to oversee the organization's funding strategy and long-term financial security. The General Manager will collaborate with the executive management team to analyze department finances and develop budgets that minimize costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Leadership: Provide strategic guidance in financial matters, ensuring alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Financial Audits and Risk Management: Oversee financial audits, internal financial controls, and risk management strategies to ensure regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Banking and Forex Compliances: Manage and ensure compliance with banking and foreign exchange regulations, maintaining efficient financial operations.
  • Budgeting, Forecasting, and Costing: Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cost control strategies to optimize financial performance.
  • Corporate and Business Finance: Support corporate financial initiatives and provide financial guidance for business decision-making.
  • Financial Modeling and Analysis: Develop financial models and conduct in-depth financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Indirect and Direct Taxation: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations, managing both indirect and direct taxation effectively.
  • P&L Ownership and Management: Take ownership of profit and loss statements, balance sheet preparation, and managing financial performance.
  • Cash Flow Management: Ensure cash flow is compatible with operations by overseeing day-to-day accounting, recording, reporting, and internal-control activities.
  • Statutory and Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee and ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements relevant to the business, staying updated on changes in laws and regulations.
  • Tally Software Proficiency: Demonstrate proficiency in using Tally software for accounting and financial management.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field (CA preferred)
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting and financial leadership roles
  • Strong analytical and data-gathering skills
  • Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into actionable information
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with senior-level business partners
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills
  • Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
