Job Description:

As a data engineer, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining our data infrastructure. This involves working closely with our data science team to design and implement complex algorithms that provide valuable insights into our data.

You will be responsible for modeling front-end and back-end data sources to draw a comprehensive picture of user flows throughout the system. Additionally, you will build data pipelines that clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources.

Developing models that can make predictions and answer questions for the overall business is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data scientists to develop advanced analytics capabilities
  • Design and implement data pipelines using Google Cloud Bigdata toolset
  • Build and maintain ETL processes
  • Develop predictive models using machine learning techniques
  • Work with cross-functional teams to integrate data insights into business decisions

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience with Python, SQL, and data visualization/exploration tools
  • Familiarity with Bigdata & Google Cloud
  • Solid work experience with Google cloud Bigdata toolset BigQuery, Airflow, CI/CD with google cloud
  • Knowledge of industry-wide visualization and analytics tools (ex: Tableau, R)
  • Core Java, Linux, SQL, and any scripting language
  • Experience with Python, Spark, and Hive
  • Strong communication skills, especially for explaining technical concepts to non-technical business leaders
  • Ability to work on a dynamic, research-oriented team that has concurrent projects
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related discipline
