About the Role

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in business taxation to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing workpapers and U.S. tax returns, reconciling amounts in documentation provided by clients, and identifying inconsistencies. You will also develop a general understanding of reporting requirements of different entity structures and the compliance process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation of Form 1040, Trust returns Form 1041, Multi-State Returns, Partnership Form 1065, and S-Corporation Form 1120S
  • Reconciliation of client-provided documentation and identification of discrepancies
  • Development of a comprehensive understanding of entity reporting requirements and compliance processes
  • Leveraging tax knowledge to drive completion of tax preparation tasks
  • Staying up-to-date on relevant tax legislation impacting Private Client Service clients
  • Collaboration with USI and U.S. teams to address queries or collect necessary information for tax service requirements
  • Ensuring adherence to checklists and controls
  • Maintenance of current knowledge on tax practices and changes in tax law
  • Identification and reporting of risk and compliance issues, breaches, and suspicious activities
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in business taxation with a Big 4 or large national/regional/U.S.-based public accounting firm
  • Bachelor's degree and master's degree in accounting (B. Com/BBA, MBA/M. Com)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Go-systems or CCH tax software
  • Strong English language proficiency, both oral and written communication skills
