Job Description

The Data Content Researcher plays a vital role in the Mumbai Managed Investment Data team, working closely with the Content Design Team, Tech Team, and Global MID Operations Team to drive operation excellence. The position is based in the Mumbai office.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and understanding business requirements, interpreting them, and proposing data solutions.
  • Utilizing data mining to surface data issues and supporting data strategy decision-making.
  • Designing new content process flows and user interfaces, building back-end logic to ensure data accuracy.
  • Providing solutions and consultations for data processing improvements from an overall data perspective.
  • Interpreting data methodologies into usable technology language through detailed written specifications.
  • Conducting feasibility analyses and impact analyses to evaluate data solution/methodology feasibility and impact.
  • Communicating with stakeholders on potential impacts or risks of proposals and making risk mitigation plans.
  • Coordinating with relevant teams to ensure proper implementation and documentation.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining database backend knowledge and building readable documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in the investment data industry (Fund data) with wide and deep database knowledge, preferably in a Senior Data Analyst role or above.
  • A bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or business with an exceptional academic record.
  • Experience with SQL and basic programming skills, preferably in Python.
  • Strong quantitative and business analysis skills.
  • Excellent English verbal/presentation/written communication skills.
  • High interest in data and analytics.
  • Profound understanding of Fund data.
  • Data, system, process, and backend logic.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and organized.

CFA candidacy is preferred but not mandatory.
