Job Title: Senior Audit Manager

About the Role:

The Senior Audit Manager will oversee internal audits and compliance reviews across the organization, ensuring thorough planning, execution, and coordination with external auditors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversight of internal audits and financial monitoring reviews throughout the year to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Planning and executing internal audits, including sampling, kick-off meetings, review meetings, and closure meetings to guarantee high-quality results.
  • Preparing annual budgets and audit coverage scopes for all engagements to facilitate effective resource allocation.
  • Conducting financial reviews of projects supported by the organization, verifying proper fund utilization and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Guiding teams and providing practical solutions to issues encountered by stakeholders to foster collaboration and innovation.
  • Streamlining processes and assisting in the implementation of SOPs as required to enhance operational excellence.
  • Following up with stakeholders for submission of data for closure of open audit paras and validating submissions to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Maintaining real-time updated MIS for open audit paras and sharing data with stakeholders on a regular basis to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Reviewing IT applications and systems used across the organization to identify opportunities for improvement and recommend strategic upgrades.
  • Interpreting statutory and regulatory changes and assisting in defining policies to be implemented to maintain compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Preparing reports and presentations for organization management as required to inform decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Maintaining cordial professional relationships with external auditors and other agencies to foster cooperation and mutual understanding.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent.
  • Minimum 8-10 years' experience in internal/statutory audit, preferably in the social sector.
  • Proven expertise in auditing and accounting standards, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards, with ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
  • Dedicated individual adhering to principles, values, and confidentiality, with strong integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Effective team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
