About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Network Architect to join our team at Lenovo. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, secure, redundant, and scalable data center network solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop data center network solutions, including switches, routers, firewall, IPS, load balancers, SDWAN, and physical security measures.
  • Formulate security architecture recommendations and design security services.
  • Expert in Data Center Network discovery, assessment, Planning, Design, and Setup.
  • Configure Services for Network Routing, Switching, Firewall, Load balancing, SDDC, SDWAN, etc. on physical or virtual appliances.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as a supportive and empowering leader, fostering an inclusive environment where all team members feel valued and respected.
  • Solution Planning: Collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders to gather requirements and perspectives, identify technical challenges, and create comprehensive cloud solution architectures and strategies.
  • Implementation and Deployment: Lead the implementation and deployment of network solutions at on-prem or cloud, ensuring inclusive and accommodating processes.
  • Migration Service: Assess customer existing infra, prepare migration design, schedules, perform migration service, transfer knowledge to the team for volume migrations.
  • Performance Optimization: Validate and optimize the network for best performance, low latency, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Security and Compliance: Advocate for strong security measures that protect user privacy and data, ensuring compliance with diverse global regulations and standards.
  • Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity: Collaborate on creating effective design and deploy site to site network, MPLS, VPN, dark-fibre, disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Technical Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, utilizing clear and inclusive language, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, ensuring diverse perspectives and expertise are heard and valued during the integration of infrastructure services.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest data center and hybrid cloud technologies and industry trends, actively seeking opportunities to enhance existing processes and technologies.

Requirements

  • 12-15 Years of Experience in complex datacenter network device – design, deployment and support.
  • Degree in IT/Computer Science/ Electronics & Communication/Electronics or higher.
  • Experience of networking on public cloud and integrating cloud system to on-prem.
  • Training & Certifications: Cisco CCNA or any equivalent, Juniper, Arista, HPE Aruba.
  • Expert level knowledge of security products like Fortinet Firewall, Cisco ASA firewalls and IPS (both appliances and modules).
  • Expert level knowledge of routing and switching technologies including but not limited to: BGPEIGRPOSPFVRF-LiteMPLS.
  • Functional understanding of network virtualization, VMware, KVM, Nutanix.
  • Experience on design and deployment on network load balancers.
  • Proven track record of building technical relationships with IT executives. Experience in managing stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects.
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools Terraform, ARM templates.
  • Understanding of hybrid cloud scenarios and connectivity between on-premises and cloud environments.
