Job Overview

HVAX ENGINEERING is a leading provider of electrical infrastructure solutions, and we are seeking an experienced Cost Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical panel projects on time and within budget.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical panel manufacturing and a proven track record of cost estimation and project management. You will work closely with our design engineers, procurement teams, and clients to ensure that all projects meet the required specifications and are delivered efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical panels, including materials, components, labor, overheads, and contingencies
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and procurement teams to assess project feasibility, risks, and resource requirements
  • Analyze cost drivers, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose value engineering solutions to optimize project economics
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure competitive rates and favorable terms for materials procurement
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses, lifecycle cost assessments, and risk assessments to evaluate the economic viability of proposed design alternatives
  • Develop project budgets, cost forecasts, and financial models to support project planning, resource allocation, and decision-making

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in electrical panel manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of electrical panel design, construction, and installation
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
