Job Title: Business Tax Specialist

Overview

This is a challenging and rewarding role for an experienced tax professional to join our team in providing business advisory services.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and file various tax returns with relevant authorities, including Estimated Chargeable Income (ECI), Final Tax Returns, GST Returns, Withholding Tax Returns, and Certificate of Residence (COR) applications. Regularly update and maintain tax knowledge to ensure compliance with changing regulations.
  • Liaise with tax authorities to address and resolve tax audits related to GST, income tax, and withholding tax. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate tax risks and optimize tax benefits.
  • Regulatory & Secretarial Support
  • Prepare and review corporate secretarial documents, including statutory registers, board resolutions, AGM documentation, and compliance filings. Ensure accuracy and completeness of all documents to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with short-form amalgamation of companies in Singapore. Coordinate with clients and internal teams to facilitate a seamless process.
  • Fund & Incentive Advisory
  • Analyze tax incentives for fund vehicles and assist clients in availing the same. Identify opportunities for tax savings and develop strategies to maximize benefits.
  • Prepare and file annual declarations to maintain eligibility for tax incentives. Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to adapt client strategies accordingly.
  • Support tax-incentivized funds in applying for and claiming GST remissions. Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information and complete applications efficiently.
  • Advisory Services
  • Advise clients on international tax matters, corporate structuring, and business advisory needs. Provide strategic guidance to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Provide regulatory guidance on transactions such as share transfers, mergers, ESOP issuance, and capital gains on foreign asset disposals. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support implementation of advisory solutions in coordination with legal, finance, and compliance teams. Facilitate communication among stakeholders to ensure a smooth process.

Requirements

  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tax advisory or consulting services. Strong knowledge of Singapore tax laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Adaptable and flexible in response to changing priorities and deadlines.
