Job Title: Legal Stenographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Stenographer to join our team at Karle Infra Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore. As a key member of our Legal team, you will be responsible for accurately transcribing legal proceedings, including courtroom hearings and depositions, from audio or video recordings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe legal proceedings with high accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review and edit rough transcripts for errors in grammar, punctuation, and legal terminology.
  • Maintain organized records of transcripts and related documents.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of legal terms and procedures.
  • Fluency in English and Kannada, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • High typing accuracy and speed to efficiently transcribe recordings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word 2016 or equivalent word processing software.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with legal transcription software or equipment.
  • Knowledge of court rules and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications:

BA LLB/ Master of Laws (LL. M.)/ Bachelor's in Arts.

Certifications:

Any relevant courses/ certifications/ diploma in Legal stenography.

Experience:

Minimum 5 – 8 years industry-related experience, preferably with legal firms or in corporate legal functions.
