Financial Reporting Specialist

Job Overview
The Corporate Accounting and GL Management vertical is responsible for meeting the financial reporting needs of the organization. This role provides a second line of defense, working closely with business units and other control groups to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
This position is further divided into two teams: Financial Reporting and Controls and Governance. Together, these teams work to:
- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements
- Enhance organizational-wide controls to minimize financial reporting risks
- Provide accounting guidance to business units on various business events
- Facilitate communication with statutory auditors and regulatory inspection teams
In addition, this role involves providing relevant financial data to top management, as well as finalizing notes for governance forums such as AMCOM, ACB, Board, and so on.
Key Responsibilities
The incumbent will be accountable for:
- Establishing a center of excellence to identify and collaborate with teams on action-oriented dashboards for CFOs and leadership within the financial management group
- Continuously re-engineering processes to enhance efficiency in routine financial reporting and controls processes
- Strengthening entity-level controls to reduce financial reporting risks
- Collaborating with various units to ensure timely updates on financial matrices for proactive decision-making
- Driving agendas related to general ledger (GL) management, internal account opening, annual review of account ownership, and related party transaction monitoring
