Role Overview
A Collections Officer at Agrocorp International is responsible for the timely collection of overdue payments from customers. This involves proactive communication with debtors to remind them of outstanding payments and ensure timely resolution.

Main Responsibilities
- Overdue Payment Follow-Up: Proactively reach out to customers via phone, email, or other channels to remind them of outstanding payments and negotiate payment arrangements.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all communication with debtors, including payment promises, disputes, and payment arrangements.
- Evaluation and Escalation: Identify unresolved payment issues and escalate them to the Accounts Receivable (AR) team in Singapore for further action.
- Contact Management: Regularly update a list of contact details for customers, counterparties, and banks to ensure accurate information is available for communication.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills to manage difficult conversations effectively
- Ability to maintain accurate records and document all communication thoroughly
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with remote teams

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in debt collection or working with international accounts
- Knowledge of the collections process in India and familiarity with local banking systems
- Previous experience with AR or customer service teams in an international context
