BIM Engineer Job Description

Are you an expert in building information modeling and coordination? Do you have a strong background in construction processes and industry standards?

  • Job Title: BIM Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience creating construction drawings using AutoCAD or equivalent software and proficiency in 3D modeling with Revit.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Setup: Set up projects, create parametric families, and manage the Revit server from a production perspective.
  • Detail Markups: Complete attachment and detail markups for company products.
  • Design Translation: Translate less specific design direction into functional documents.
  • BIM Modeling: Create 3D BIM models using industry-standard software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Clash Detection: Perform clash detection and resolution to identify and resolve design conflicts.
  • Documentation: Generate accurate construction documents and drawings from BIM models.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks to ensure BIM models meet industry standards and client requirements.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in BIM modeling and coordination.
  • Proficiency in BIM software, such as Revit, AutoCAD.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes and industry standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bluebeam review of drawings.

Education:

  • Relevant degree in Architecture field.
