Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of complex data architectures and pipelines on AWS and Databricks.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and architecture, with hands-on experience in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and performant data solutions. They will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy data platforms that meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of data architectures and pipelines on AWS and Databricks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement data models, data warehouses, and data lakes.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like AWS Glue, Apache Spark, and Python.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering and architecture, with expertise in AWS and Databricks.
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, data warehousing, and data lakes.
  • Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer - Associate) and Databricks certifications (e.g., Databricks Certified Developer) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters' degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in data engineering and architecture.
  • Experience with streaming technologies and real-time analytics.
  • Proficiency in languages like Java, Scala, and SQL.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based services like AWS Lambda, S3, and Redshift.
