Job Description

A Senior Oracle Exadata DBA will lead the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle RDBMS systems, including Exadata and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Their primary goal is to ensure availability and consistent performance across all environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, maintain, and perform critical Oracle RDBMS systems.
  • Develop and sustain multiple clients across various Oracle versions and platforms.
Primary Duties:
  • Engage with assigned clients through continuous communication.
  • Transition new customers while creating a maintenance plan.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Manage databases on OCI, including provisioning, patching, backup, and recovery.
  • Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-premises to OCI.
  • Design high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Monitor and tune performance using AWR, ASH, OEM, and SQL tuning tools.
  • Automate database operations using scripting.
  • Collaborate with architects and application teams for hybrid deployments.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Participate in capacity planning, migration strategies, and architecture reviews.
Required Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 8 years of production database support experience.
  • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale database environments.
  • Proven experience with Oracle Exadata systems.
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure.
  • Experience with Oracle Multitenant (CDB/PDB).
  • Working knowledge of Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard.
  • Strong background in disaster recovery planning and execution.
  • Experience working in UNIX, Linux, and Windows environments.
  • Public Cloud experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) required; OCI certifications preferred.
