Job Description:

At Genpact, we are seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join our team as a General Ledger Specialist. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled accountant to take on new challenges and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and post journal entries at the end of each month after analyzing prepaid and accruals accounts.
  • Create a monthly closing calendar and discuss the status of activities with clients on a daily basis.
  • Execute internal controls and checks as part of the process and perform tasks with accuracy and timeliness.
  • Supervise intercompany reconciliation status and conduct vital follow-ups with relevant teams to resolve variances before the end of the month.
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and clearing, identifying open items and addressing them with relevant teams to ensure closure before the close date.
  • Bid payment proposals and review exceptions in SAP/ERP.
  • Conduct duplicate payment checks, quality checks on payment proposals, and review critical and month-end activities to ensure smooth closings.
Qualifications:

We seek candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Candidate should have a degree in CA / M.Com/ B.com/ MBA (Finance)/ ICWA with relevant years of experience.
  • Must have meaningful work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Good MS Office skills, especially MS Excel.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in General Accounting (R2R function).
  • Technology skills – SAP experience preferred.
Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $80,000 per year, depending on location and experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
