Subject Matter Expert in Open Subsurface Data Universe

Job Title: Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) Subject Matter ExpertWe are seeking an experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide technical leadership and expertise in the implementation and optimization of the Open Subsurface Data Universe (OSDU) platform. This role will be instrumental in driving the adoption of OSDU standards and technologies while ensuring best practices in subsurface data management.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance and expertise on OSDU architecture, data models, and implementation strategies
- Lead the design and implementation of OSDU-based solutions, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate OSDU platform with existing systems and workflows
- Develop and maintain documentation for OSDU implementations, including technical specifications and user guides
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to build team capability in OSDU technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Geoscience, Petroleum Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience in oil and gas industry data management. 3+ years of hands-on experience with OSDU implementation or similar data platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with OSDU Mercury or higher releases. Knowledge of industry standard data formats (WITSML, RESQML, PRODML). Experience with modern data architecture patterns and microservices. Contribution history to OSDU open source projects. Certification in relevant cloud platforms. Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
