We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our high-performing team, committed to employee growth and development. This is an exciting opportunity to build using the latest technology and acquire new skills in data and analytics.

In this role, you will integrate components, design frameworks, and build reusable data solutions for our Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform. You will enable faster acquisition, ingestion, and curation of analytical-ready datasets.

This is a hands-on development role, which includes developing and delivering code from origin to production, as well as working with 3rd party development service providers to ensure timely delivery and quality.

You will directly contribute to establishing the new platform and continue to work on future buildouts of platform services. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Hands-on, sleeves-up development and delivery expected as a matter of course.
  • Ensuring project goals are achieved on time, in alignment with stakeholders' expectations.
  • Ability to work on complex projects and in a distributed environment.
  • Escalating when necessary and in a timely manner.
  • Working in close collaboration with other team members to ensure Development/Delivery aspects are well represented in project requirements and deliverables.

You will be part of product-centric delivery teams that focus on delivering value independently while fully embracing integrated DevOps approaches. You will take ownership of delivery/development projects and help steer them until completion. You will also maintain governance that allows projects and stakeholders to manage overall project performance and manage programme risks within the global nature of some programmes.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in data engineering, experience with Azure data and analytics stack, and proficiency in languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala. They will have experience integrating and supporting various enterprise data tools, big-data processing approaches, and Agile delivery frameworks. They will be able to articulate business value and progress solutions from MVP to scaled-up production solutions. They will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate inherently complicated technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

The salary range for this position is estimated at $120,000-$160,000 per year, depending on location and qualifications.
