Cloud Infrastructure Strategist Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Strategist to lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The successful candidate will have extensive experience with GCP and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS), as well as a proven ability to architect for scale, availability, and high-performance workloads.

  • The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including deep knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment strategies.
  • A solid understanding of security, audit, and compliance best practices is essential. Experience with relevant certifications, software development, and machine learning infrastructure is highly desirable.
  • This role requires excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects.
  • Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for IaC.
  • Design and implement scalable, available, and secure architectures.
  • Ensure compliance with security, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and lead junior team members.
  • Manage client relationships and project planning.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in an Infrastructure Engineer or similar role.
  • Extensive experience with GCP and/or AWS.
  • Proven ability to architect for scale, availability, and high-performance workloads.
  • Deep knowledge of IaC with Terraform.
  • Strong experience with Kubernetes and related tools (Helm, Kustomize).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment strategies.
  • Experience with security, audit, and compliance best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Certifications and Skills:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes Certified Administrator, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
  • Software development experience (e.g., Terraform, Python).
  • Experience with machine learning infrastructure.
