Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Automation Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in defining and building quality verification systems for software tools and platforms.

The successful candidate will work closely with technology and content operations teams to develop and maintain manual and automated testing and test frameworks for various teams.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop functional and performance test plans and cases for internal and external-facing software systems.
  • Drive improvements in software engineering practices across engineering teams.
  • Build tools and frameworks for automated testing.

Candidate Profile:

Our ideal candidate should have 5–9 years of experience in QA/Automation with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in Cypress (JS/TS).

  1. Strong understanding of Page Object Model (POM), data-driven tests, custom commands, intercepts, stubs/mocks, and handling dynamic elements/retries.
  2. Solid TypeScript/JavaScript fundamentals including modules, async/await, promises.
  3. Proven CI/CD experience with artifacts and parallelization using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins.
  4. Experience with API testing, JSON assertions, schema/contract validation.
  5. Comfortable with git, branching strategies, pull requests, and code reviews.
  6. Exposure to cross-browser platforms like BrowserStack.
  7. Clear, concise communication skills; able to turn ambiguous requirements into testable scenarios.

Preferred Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should also possess the following skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills; ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems.
  • Experience with testing Angular/Ruby on Rails based web applications is a plus.
  • Experience with testing mobile apps.
  • Past success with being a forward thinker and advocate for the customer.
