Job Title: Senior Big Data Engineer

Job Summary:
Data Engineers design, develop and maintain large-scale data processing systems. In this role, you will work with our team to build scalable data pipelines using PySpark and ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure.

About the Role:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building data pipelines using PySpark, as well as hands-on expertise in using Spark SQL, DataFrame and RDD APIs to implement complex business logic. You will also be proficient in using Python programming skills, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop scalable data pipelines using PySpark
- Ensure the smooth operation of our data infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business requirements
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipeline performance and data quality

Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience in big data engineering
- Strong experience in building data pipelines using PySpark
- Hands-on expertise in using Spark SQL, DataFrame and RDD APIs to implement complex business logic
- Proficient in using Python programming skills, with a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms and software engineering principles
- Experience working with cloud services such as AWS S3, AWS Glue/EMR, AWS Lambda, Step Functions and Redshift or other cloud data warehouses
