Network Operations and Engineering Specialist


Job Summary:
  • • Develop a roster for 24/7 support teams to ensure seamless operations.
    • Possess skilled knowledge of network hardware including firewalls, routers, switches, access points, and cloud networking on AWS/GCP platforms.
    • Troubleshoot network and security issues in both data centers and cloud services, ensuring prompt resolution and minimizing downtime.
    • Collaborate with network architects to design and enhance network models, optimizing infrastructure performance and scalability.
    • Manage vendor-partner teams for software deployment and updates on network devices and cloud services, scheduling activities and driving projects to closure.
    • Implement and test security measures to safeguard networks from potential threats.
    • Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services, as well as plan network capacity according to business needs.
    • Leverage skills in team management and vendor relationships to drive successful project outcomes.
    • Conduct thorough analysis of hardware issues and provide corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
    • Ensure network inventory and configuration documentation are up-to-date and maintained accordingly.
    • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Stay current with the latest technologies, including Palo Alto and FortiGate/Fortinet products, Cisco systems, and cloud platforms like AWS VPC and GCP.
    Required Skills and Qualifications:
    • • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto and FortiGate/Fortinet solutions.
      • Expertise in various network technologies, such as IPS, IDS, geofencing, IPsec, VPN, VPC, and security groups.
      • Strong understanding of data center audit and compliance requirements.
      • Ability to maintain accurate network inventory and configuration documentation.
      • Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly in managing vendor-partner relationships.
