About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Buyer to join our team in India. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining systems for material purchases in manufacturing, including direct and indirect procurement.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to drive cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and conduct risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and drive global spend.
- Develop and maintain complex Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations to translate forecasting information into material requirements.
- Lead and mentor a small team to achieve procurement goals and objectives.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, engineering, or supply chain management certification.
- Expertise in supplier management, scorecard practices, and strategic sourcing methodology.
- Extensive experience in domestic and international sourcing, with a strong understanding of duty, tariffs, and free trade agreements.
- Effective collaborator, meeting both internal and external customer requirements.
- Ability to travel 10%, including internationally.
