Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Project Manager to join our team at Ingredion Incorporated (Corporate). As a key member of our CAPEX Execution team, you will be responsible for delivering large-scale capital projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement large capital projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
  • Supervise and execute large capital projects, establishing and meeting budget, scheduling, and supervising project activity.
  • Review and recommend equipment and systems for new projects and existing installations, ensuring compliance with safety best practices and applicable codes and standards.
  • Develop and maintain a high level of awareness of current and emerging equipment technologies, making recommendations on their application to improve profitability.
  • Provide technical and procurement support for national and international contracts, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Use data and findings to support broader business recommendations.
  • Maintain the company's intellectual property, ensuring competitiveness through proper record retention, mentoring, and preparation of best practices and design manuals.
  • Share project engineering practices throughout the organization, ensuring leveraging of technical expertise.
  • Provide coaching and develop tools to improve engineering and project management skills throughout the organization.
  • Safety: Liaise with government agencies to ensure compliance with project scope, enabling production teams to start-up in normal operations mode. Ensure a safe working environment, enforcing a zero-tolerance culture against violating safety requirements.
  • Engineering: Direct projects in compliance with company ethics, safety, and engineering standards, integrating corporate best practices and standards in local engineering approaches.
  • Customer Support: Act as the project liaison for internal and external customers.
  • Technology: Leverage new and emerging process technologies to supplement current knowledge, maximizing synergies and sharing the latest process technology information.
  • Budgets: Prepare and execute project execution plans, managing and delivering project objectives: safety, quality, cost, timing, profitability, and cash.
  • Workstreams: Accountable for all project workstreams, including Ready to Operate (RTO), Supply Chain (including ERP), and validation.
  • Process Support: Work closely with external and internal stakeholders to provide sound guidance and solutions, conducting in-depth studies and series of strategies and options to ensure agreed and timely accomplishment of project objectives and plans.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical).
  • Minimum 7 years of engineering experience, demonstrating successful implementation of solutions, including effective project management of large-scale projects over $25MM.
  • Substantial experience in manufacturing, engineering, and/or project execution.
  • Knowledge of engineering and unit operations relevant to the Wet Milling industry.
  • Demonstrated application of sound judgment, resourcefulness, initiative, and innovation in handling complex technical assignments and integrating solutions with business needs.
  • Proven ability to influence others towards positive change, with excellent communication skills and the ability to prepare effective presentations, present test results, and write concise reports.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from different cultures to accomplish business objectives.
  • Fluency in English, and preferably Hindi.
