Job DescriptionThe Transportation Team in Hyderabad is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to work closely with businesses and provide insights that enable better auditing of transportation charges received by Amazon. As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for developing data sources and metrics, formatting easy-to-consume reporting, and understanding existing challenges with data and how they can be presented differently to influence change and deliver against key business goals.
This is a challenging role that requires a self-starter who is comfortable working with large complex datasets, possesses strong analytical skills, and is an effective communicator. Cross-team coordination and collaboration skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities- To have relevant experience in data analytics working with large data sets and extract and transform data using various tools and technologies;
- To transform data into actionable business information and make it readily accessible to stakeholders worldwide;
- To use data to support ideas, drive actionable outcomes, and provide unique ways to present data and information in an easy-to-consume format;
- To be passionate about finding root causes, trends, and patterns and how they impact business;
- To draw inferences and conclusions, create dashboards and visualizations of processed data;
- To have excellent business and communication skills to be able to work with operations owners to understand key business questions to build reports that enable product owners to answer those questions quickly and accurately;
- To be very comfortable juggling competing priorities and handling ambiguity;
- To thrive in an agile and fast-paced environment on highly visible projects and initiatives.
- 5+ years of Excel (including VBA, pivot tables, array functions, power pivots, etc.) and data visualization tools such as Tableau experience;
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights;
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders;
- 3+ years of business or financial analysis experience;
- 3+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience;
- Experience with Excel;
- 3+ years of business analyst, data analyst or similar role experience.
