This is a pivotal position within our organization, where you will be responsible for handling claims with precision and dedication. As an Area Claims Manager, your primary focus will be on overseeing the entire claims process, ensuring that it is completed efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations to facilitate informed decision-making.
- Manage survey deputations, maintaining optimal reserves at various intervals to ensure timely claim resolution.
- Regularly update claim status in our core system, providing transparency and accountability.
- Process commercial claims, particularly in the Property line of business, with attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Maintain an inventory of claim files, preparing outstanding claim lists for thorough analysis.
- Monitor and manage Turnaround Times (TAT) to guarantee timely claim disposal, month-on-month.
- Control claim ageing, preventing spillover into higher age bands and minimizing potential losses.
- Resolve challenges and facilitate amicable claim resolutions, upholding our organization's commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Generate reports from our system for in-depth analysis, maintaining master data for surveyors.
- Collaborate with our IT team to address system issues and administrative tasks, driving process improvements.
- Act as a Business Analyst, working closely with our IT team to develop new applications and enhance existing systems.
- Prepare reports to meet internal and external audit requirements, demonstrating our organization's commitment to transparency and compliance.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in General Insurance, with expertise in Property Claims Handling.
- Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external audits, ensuring seamless operations.
- Fair exposure to handling IT projects in commercial lines, with proficiency in MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
Competencies
- Strong domain knowledge in Property.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
- Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- A Graduate degree (mandatory).
- Postgraduate or Surveyor License for Property Line of Business (optional).
