Autonomous driving systems are evolving rapidly, and Jaguar Land Rover is at the forefront of this innovation.

As a member of the ADAS team, you will play a crucial role in developing the future generation of autonomous driving systems, with a focus on achieving full autonomy by 2030.

To achieve this vision, JLR is working on various software functionalities, including building in-house software modules to maximize component reusability and robustness.

You will be part of a dynamic and ever-changing environment, with daily challenges that require strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Working in a multiple-disciplinary team, mentoring junior software engineers, and communicating findings through presentations and reporting
  • Understanding requirements and designing high-level solutions, as well as decomposing them into detailed designs
  • Mentoring junior software developers on design patterns, development best practices, and DevOps trade-offs
  • Creating detailed software designs and supporting their implementation in software and API interfaces required from internal teams
  • Developing complex software to satisfy design objectives
  • Designing APIs for extensibility and portability of software across multiple implementations
  • Excellent communication skills and collaboration with global teams within JLR

Required skills and qualifications:

  • A total of 8+ years of experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in application design and development
  • Experience in owning responsibility for low-level design, implementation, and validation in complex automotive projects
  • Hands-on experience in programming languages like C/C++
  • Knowledge of Agile SW development process
  • Hands-on experience in developing systems based on various IPC mechanisms
  • Good knowledge of Adaptive AUTOSAR-based Communication and Diagnostic stack
  • Experience in Automotive SW middleware platforms
  • Strong understanding of software design and architectural patterns
  • Good understanding of ISO26262
